We’re still waiting for final word from the state on whether meals will be free for all students this year. In the meantime, OCS will serve breakfast and lunch for free for everyone through September 30, 2025. The state budget is expected to be finalized by October 1, and we’ll share updates as soon as we have them. In the meantime, we encourage all families to complete the Free/Reduced Price Meal Application. This supports our district in multiple ways and ensures your student is already approved should the free meals program not continue. |

Annual Information Update |
An email with instructions went out Monday this week. This process must be completed for each student before the school year begins. It ensures we have accurate contact information and emergency details. Please check your inbox and complete your update today. |
|
|
Routes are being finalized and are expected to be ready by Monday, August 18. When complete, route details will be posted in PowerSchool for families to review. |
|
Elementary Classroom Assignments |
Families in our seated elementary schools will receive classroom assignments on Friday, August 15.
Completing your Annual Information Update before then ensures we can reach you with your child’s classroom placement and other important news. |

Don't forget to submit updated medical forms if necessary.
If your medical form (medical action plan or medication form) is dated after July 1, 2025 and signed by a physician, we will accept it. We also accept physician-specific forms. |

Check Your Spam/Junk Folder |
You should have started receiving email messages from the district and your child’s school. If you haven’t, please check your junk/spam folder. If you find our emails there, select the option to move them to your inbox and mark them as “trusted” or “safe” so they arrive in your inbox from now on. The exact process varies by email provider.
If you still aren’t receiving messages, we may not have your correct email address in PowerSchool. Please contact your school’s main office.
